Sam Pierre is currently the Managing Partner and Senior Executive at SMP Global Consultants.
In the capacity as Managing Partner, Sam works with minority and women-owned businesses who are looking to grow and identifies government contracting opportunities that they can apply for while helping them navigate the government contracting process.
With 10 plus years of government experience in local, state and the federal government, Sam has built relationships and contacts that have helped him complete projects and create programs that assisted and secured funding for religious, nonprofit and private companies.
Sam enjoys working with talented networks of creative professionals and believes that everyone has wonderful things to offer. He is passionate about developing lasting relationships, producing great work and changing the world.
Sam has held leadership positions in the following projects: Chairman of the Government & Quality of Life Committee for NYC Agencies-Barclays Center (2012), Senior Public Affairs Consultant-Brooklyn Bridge Park (2013), Special Advisor to the Mayor-Project: I love East New York (2012), Special Assistant to the Deputy Mayor for Health & Human Services- Young Men’s Initiative (2013), Senior Management Consultant to the Commissioner, Department of Citywide Administrative Services- CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) (2014) and Special Advisor to the Assistant Commissioner, Small Business Services,-NBAT (New Business Acceleration Team) (2013)
Sam holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a specialization in Political Science from St. John’s University. Sam also serves as an Adjunct Faculty Professor at St. Francis College and teaches classes like Introduction to Entrepreneurship 1001 to college freshman and sophomores.
